Project ECHO Alumna raises funds for college

A few weeks back, one of our former Project ECHO winners sent us an email telling us how well she was doing, but explaining that she was having trouble financing the last part of her degree in engineering and business. Our Project ECHO sponsers couldn't have jumped in more quickly to help. Thank you very much to all of you.

Here's her letter to the Chairman of the Project ECHO Board of Directors:

Dear Mr. Goodman,

My name is Stacy Simental, today I registered for the fall semester at RPI. I would have not been able to continue my education here had it not been for your financial support. Thank you! Your support was not only financial, you have believed me. I am now more determined than ever to  work hard everyday! You have made a wise investment. I will keep you updated with my grades and accomplishments.

I will never forget my four years participating in Project Echo, it transformed me. Through Project Echo, I became more confident in myself. Not only did I learn how to to start a business and how to properly write a business plan, but I was able to start a business and watch it grow before my eyes. I grew with it, I nurtured it, it nurtured me. Thank you for Project Echo, it's an awesome program!

Sincerely,

Stacy
