After sweeping the UCLA/ Anderson Business Plan competition in January,AND the state and national SAGE competition the team from Santa Monica High was invited by Chuck Smith, Project ECHO Business Partner and CEO of Payment Processing, Inc. to visit his company in Newark, CA. InJuly, they flew by chartered private jet to the Bay area. They made a presentation to the PPI management team and enjoyed a "hands on" experience learning more from top executives of the company.

The SAMO team was then awarded a$5,000 contribution to help fund the trip to the SAGE international competition in Shanghai. The Vikings from Santa Monica prevailed in this competition as well and becoming the World Champs. Read the LA TIMES Story here.
